Liken brings knowledge and experience to the design and implementation of configuration management tools and databases.Specifically, we apply a business focused approach that helps integrate IT with other core processes:
- We focus on business processes and the configuration items that actually have business value.
- Configuration items must have relationships that can be actively mapped and monitored: if a CI has no relationship to the business, it has no business being in a CMDB
- Configuration management is a logical extension of change management and SAM, it cannot exist effectively without the other two elements being in place.
- We focus on management of the risk and the resulting impact of configuration items.
