Data Cleansing
Data cleansing is a central part of IT Asset Management. However, it often frustrates ITAM projects.
If one set of data is of poor quality then it can lead to the entire output of the program being suspect.
There are 2 aspects to the service that Liken can provide to tackle this:
- Inventory data cleansing. Ensuring that the inventory system has recognised applications correctly and that those applications are correctly categorised as licensible or not.
- Data normalisation. Ensuring that there is a standard syntax across systems (i.e. procurement, contracts, CMDB, inventory etc...) to allow assets to be correctly cross referenced within a system.
Liken provide these services as an integral part of IT-Ammo but are also able to offer them for one off projects or as a stand alone ongoing service.
